About Us

Our Mission:

To glorify God by caring for our clients and patients with the best possible veterinary medicine, administered in an environment of professionalism and compassion.

Our Story:

Like many practicing veterinarians, Dr. Kevin Dickey knew he wanted to devote his life to the care of animals as a very young boy. Growing up in Texarkana, Texas, he always had a good dog near him, raised a few meat rabbits, and even had a pet chicken! In high school, Dr. Dickey began taking classes in agriculture and became active in the school’s FFA program. He began working on local ranches and livestock auction markets which served to grow his passion for animal health. As a young, aspiring veterinarian, he would jump at the chance to assist one of the local veterinarians in the clinic or for a ride along to a local farm. Looking back, their mentorship and investment in Dr. Dickey’s development was invaluable.

Following graduation from the University of Arkansas in 1998 with a degree in animal science, Dr. Dickey was accepted into the veterinary medicine program at Louisiana State University. He graduated from veterinary school in 2002 and worked in mixed animal practices in Nebraska, South Dakota, and Texas where he treated companion animals, horses, and production animals. Like many veterinarians, Dr. Dickey desired to own a practice and began to search for opportunities in rural areas where livestock production was a priority.

Dr. Dickey, his wife Sherri, and four sons – Eli, Luke, Seth, and Silas – moved to Hot Springs County, Wyoming, in 2011 to take over an existing veterinary practice started by Dr. Katrin Kolder. That clinic is now Owl Creek Veterinary Service. In 2019, Dr. Dickey purchased Dr. Bill Gould’s clinic in Meeteetse which is now Greybull River Veterinary Service.
